Last week was an extremely busy one for the Kindness elves. Across the school they have been showing children how to complete kind acts that really make others smile (as well as themselves) and it has been a joy for all the staff to see kindness ripple out across the school.
In foundation, the Elf helped to read the children a variety of Christmas stories and even practiced using Fred Talk to learn all about phonics.
In KS1 the Elf helped make snow angels, helped the children to design a Christmas tree and even tried to join in their performance. The elf has helped KS1 to be kind by encouraging them to ask children to play, and offering their pencil to others. To add to this, one of our Y1 pupils created a food hamper at home and donated it to the local food bank!
Kindness came to us as well when donuts were kindly donated to the staff by the Whitehouse Christian Community – they were delicious!
Furthermore, the presents underneath our Giving Tree go off to Rowans Family Centre today. We have been overwhelmed by the kindness shown by all those who donated so a very heart felt… Thank you!
One more week of school to spread some Christmas Kindness. Remember to send any photos of anything you do at home – we’d love to see!
