At Whitehouse Primary School, we are committed to educating and empowering our children. One of the many ways we do this is by teaching them about the protected characteristics and the Equality Act 2010. We want our children to be prepared for their future lives in 21st century Britain.
During our weekly assemblies and daily Crew sessions, our children learn about the protected characteristics at an age-appropriate level. This is done through a text-based approach; sharing stories with our children to promote dialogue, questions and thoughtful responses. Throughout these sessions, we make explicit links to British Values, our school attributes as well as the wider curriculum.
