Dancing Schools UK – GRAND FINALS

What an incredible day we had at the Dancing Schools UK Grand Finals at The Royal and Derngate Theatre. Whitehouse Primary had 4 teams qualify for the Finals which was an amazing achievement.

First to the stage were our KS1 team, who brought energy and ethusiasm to the theatre with their beutifully performed Waltz and their fun-filled Polka. They wowed the judges (including Head Judge Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer – Amy Dowden!) and were crowned KS1 Champions!!

 

We had two teams competing in the Year 3 and 4 competition. First to the stage of the whole competition were our Year 3 team who set the standard with a fantastic Viennese Waltz and Cha Cha. Our Year 4 team brought sass and style to their energetic performance, wowing the audience and judges and narrowingly missing out on a top 3 place by 0.25 points!!

The standard of the competitions had been very high, but the Year 5 and 6 competition was incredible. Our Year 5 and 6 team, performed a beautiful Waltz and an energetic Jive with impeccable form and timing. The team came an incredible 2nd place (missing out on first place by 0.5!

We are so proud of all our dancers and we had an amazing day! Thank you to all the parents and carers that came to support us!
