On Thursday 2nd November, Year 4 embarked on a trip to Bradwell Abbey Discovery Centre, to enhance and enrich our History knowledge learnt in our Autumn Term Expedition. For many children, this was their first school trip which involved coach travel, given the circumstances in recent years, so excitement levels were high! The children were introduced to their experience with an involving timeline activity, followed by sessions which comprised of exploring the purposes and the layout of the vast villa in Bancroft, experiencing life as a legionary in the Roman army and hosted an extravagant Roman banquet, complete with four courses and entertainment. It was amazing to see the children share so much of their previously learnt knowledge and build-upon this over the course of the day. Well done, Year 4, for a successful trip!
